SS8, KFA46, Deluxes Dirtbox (?) Palin, SS9, Cheese.

Hey Everyone,

Its been a small time since I last posted…a little bit quicker than usual perhaps? Well, this post may not last too long because I thought I had broken my finger. I haven’t, but I have fucked up all the tendons, and so my finger is splinted (?) and so typing is a bitch. Ah well, lol…thats what I get for not punching properly lol.

Anyway, I dont have a great deal to tell you about, but thought I could fill you in on the latest info about Supaset 8, and I also wanted to talk about Dj Deluxe’s recent downloadable LP. So, as I am totally self involved, I will talk about me first ;o)

So. I have scrapped a few of the tracks from Supaset 8. These will be heard soon either on Eruption FM or on my forthcoming podcasts. They were dumped because I have made better things since then! I now have a semi complete track list. Its about 50 minutes done. I played it at the Goodfellaz party on Saturday night, which was absolutely the bollox – the gig I am talking about, not my set. Although, actually, I do think my set is pretty damn good. And people seemed to like it. It is certainly the most insane of the Supasets. I am looking forward to making it available for download, and I expect that wont be too far away. When I move to the USA for good, I will have plenty of time to work on my set, and my plan is to keep what I have evolving. So Supaset 8 may be sort of the last Supaset, in that I will keep adding to it, swapping tracks along the way, until, say, 4 months after showing Supaset 8, all the tracks will have changed into Supaset 9, if you see what I mean. Then I will make the set downloadable.

I guess the difference is more in my head, and the results will be pretty much the same as far as you guys are concerned lol.

Anyway, the tracklist now is:-

Knights of Fights and Rights
99 Problemoons
The Eleven
My Creepy Angel
Strangely Blues(welcome to the 60’s!)
Rockstar
Milky Butt Back
Baby Got Awesome
Fugeestar 2
Help! 2009
Fuck Orff, Yolky

Anyway…I still have the NIN remix to finish, as well as an outro, and a few other plans. Once they are made, I will have a “finished” Supaset 8 and will immediately start work on new material for Supaset 9. Heres a picture of KFA46’s unfinished sleeve, just randomly thrown into the middle of this sentence. Then, I continue on as if nothing has happened. So Supaset 8 is close to being complete. Some of you will be excited by Fugeestar 2. This is a full length track, instead of the 3 minute thingy I had before. And Help 2009 is also full length, making both perfect to be available for download in the future. BUT I 100% wont be putting Fugeestar on vinyl, because I fell out with Nick Bang ages ago, and have no wish to deal with him again. Sad, but there it is.

I am planning to do monthly podcasts from the middle of November. This is one of the reasons I have decided to make my future sets “evolving”. I want to be able to throw new stuff into each podcast. I will also be taking demos etc to play on the podcast, as well as doing various other exciting things with it. These should be available around the same time as the new website goes up. So lots of things happening :o )

Now then. Deluxe recently sent me a copy of his debut album, Tales from the Dirtbox. Heres a link to it via hardcorelives.co.uk:-

Download it. Now. Its really very good. Deluxe has moved forwards in leaps and bounds since he first started producing. Some of the tracks are amazing, others are just really good, lol. I particularly like “Shine”, which is a great old skool styled hardcore track, nice piano and tings. I also like Lazy Hardcore, and Social De-Evolution. I am not very good at describing music, but check this out because a) its great to see Delly step up and let loose with such a strong bunch of tracks, b) its free and c) its good!

I would write more, but every time I do a full stop, I have to twist my hand up because the damn splint holding my finger straight gets in the way lol. Oh, and heres a video of the anti-Palin rally. Most of you wont care, but a person that believes the Iraq war is a religious war, and that the world is 4000 years old, and dinosaurs and mankind lived together, may end up in charge of the USA if the older-than-sin McCain gets into power. I am not sure thats the person we want in charge of America’s nuclear arsenal. In fact, it terrifies me. Anyway, things like this make me feel better. And, I have nothing to say about cheese, I just added it to the title because I was feeling surreal…

  1. Don’t you ever, ever, EVER say there will be cheese and then have nothing to say about it!!!!!!

Strangely Blues(welcome to the 60’s!) was my pick of the night (IF i had to pick, one because it was all serious quality) but Baby Got Awesome did get me dancing like a loonie. Well done!
